My interest in woodworking started when I returned to Japan during a summer break in college. My grandfather - a carpenter by trade - had heard that I was having some trouble deciding upon a course of study. He told me, "...this is good," as he pointed to his head. "But...these are good too" as he held up his hands.

The goal is to create alternatives to the numerous disposable, 'off the rack', factory made pieces that are touched by many unfamiliar hands and travel many roads. I offer unique furniture and home decor built on commission. These pieces are crafted with one set of hands (my own) and travel one road - from my studio (Sacramento, Ca) to your home.
